Dan Lancaster

Every Home a Lighthouse

SE Asia

USA / Global

Dan Lancaster (PhD) began serving internationally in Southeast Asia in 2003 alongside his late wife, Holli, and their four children. Over the next twelve years in Myanmar and Thailand, Dan and a trusted local partner, Gilbert, developed "Follow Jesus Training" — a discipleship, leadership, and church-planting initiative crafted especially for semi-literate and non-literate communities. This training has introduced thousands to Christ and seeded the growth of thousands of house churches and discipleship groups around the world.

In 2015, the Lancasters returned to the United States, where Dan served as Assistant Vice President for University Ministries at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Ten months later, Holli passed away from ovarian cancer. Dan continued to follow God's call to missions, returning to international work in 2017 with Love for Myanmar and joining Cornerstone International in 2019.

Dan is also a best-selling author known for Powerful Prayers in the War Room and numerous other books on practical discipleship, Christian living, and children's faith formation. Through the Every Home a Lighthouse project, he is building a connected family of ministries that equip households and frontline workers worldwide: Lightkeeper Books (Christ-centered books for adults and children) and Lightkeeper Book Coaching (mentoring missionary and ministry authors from concept to finished manuscript), with two additional ventures currently under development — LanguageBridge.io (a translation pipeline that moves discipleship resources into heart-languages faster) and Faster and Further (an AI-assisted toolkit that helps missionaries multiply their reach without sacrificing depth).

His prayer is that every home would become a lighthouse — a place where the gospel sparks hope, healing, and lasting transformation.
