Roger & Myla Bodary

Bodary Project

Honduras

Roger and Myla Bodary have been living and working overseas for over 40 years. They started their married life together as missionaries in the Philippines. Their four children were born in the Philippines and grew up as global citizens, now living independently in the USA. The Bodarys have lived, worked, and served the Lord in different capacities throughout the years in eight different countries: the Philippines, USA, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Qatar, India, Honduras, and Uruguay.

Upon retirement in 2020, the Bodarys joined Loma de Luz, a multifaceted ministry consisting of a hospital, school, children’s home, and farm in Balfate, Honduras. Their role is to support the local team and as Pastoral overseers for other missionaries and staff in the ministry. While spending 3 months in Honduras, Roger shares the Word regularly and contributes to teaching part-time at El Camino Bilingual School. Myla is serving as part of the administration team at Loma de Luz Hospital and in various other support roles as needed in the ministry.

In 2024, they expanded their short-term International ministry outreach to Montevideo, Uruguay. They volunteered and supported the body of believers at Christ Church, Carasco with community outreach and Bible studies. They continue to be about their “Father’s business”, having weekly or monthly meetings around the world via Zoom in Australia, Canada, Colombia, India, the Philippines, Sweden, and in the US.

Their hearts’ desire is to “Declare His glory among the Nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples”. (Psalm 96:3)
